OwnedWork (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website ownedwork.com. We provide free invoicing tools, proposal generators, receipt makers, and business guides for freelancers and small businesses in the United Kingdom.

2. What data we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Account information — When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you use Google Sign-In, we receive your name and email from Google.
  • Invoice and document data — Information you enter into our tools, including client names, addresses, line items, and amounts. This data is stored to provide the service and is accessible only to you.
  • Contact form submissions — When you use our contact form, your name, email address, and message are submitted via StaticForms (staticforms.xyz), a third-party form processing service.
  • Email subscriptions — If you subscribe to our mailing list, we collect your name and email address via StaticForms.
  • Usage data — We collect anonymised analytics data including pages visited, time on site, referral source, and device type. This data does not personally identify you.

3. How we use your data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain our invoicing tools and services
  • To process and respond to your contact form submissions
  • To send you our newsletter or product updates (only if you opted in)
  • To improve our website, tools, and content based on usage patterns
  • To comply with legal obligations, including UK tax and data protection law

  • Vercel — Hosting and deployment. Vercel may collect anonymised server logs including IP addresses and request metadata.
  • StaticForms — Form submission processing for our contact form and email capture. Data submitted through forms is processed by StaticForms and forwarded to us via email.
  • Google OAuth — If you sign in with Google, your authentication is handled by Google. We only receive your name and email address.

6. Your rights under GDPR

As a UK or EU resident, you have the following rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018:

  • Right of access — You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.

Contact form submissions and email subscription data are retained until you request removal or unsubscribe.

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

OwnedWork is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
